GamePort Incubator

The Gameport incubator has been supporting rookie teams since 2003, offering a guiding hand as the teams take their ideas from concept to pitch. Gameport supports teams with hardware, software, office space, access to network, marketing resources, coaching, administration, project management and much more.

GamePort is quite a unique organization as it strives to give students the opportunity to finetune their game-ideas, develop game prototypes and produce games. In the long run it is our goal to produce game developing companies through a close cooperation between game developers, the school, investors and publishers.

GamePort will initially support one team per year in developing a game concept to a game prototype (or a small game). The purpose of each game prototype is to attract further financing from a publisher so that the prototype can be developed into a complete game. As soon as a publisher is contracted GamePort will help the team start a new company which will produce the complete game. GamePort will either have shares in the new companies or by another agreement be entitled to a share of the companies’ future revenues and in this way be able to finance future productions.
